Announcing the Winners of our First Music Production Contest

Last month, Yum Audio launched its first ever Music Production Community Contest. We knew we had very talented artists and producers as part of our community, but wow, the quality of the submissions we received blew us away!
Thank you to everyone who took the time to participate, we loved every single submission and choosing winners was no easy task. Still, a choice had to be made and we’re thrilled to share with you the five winning entries and introduce you to these fantastic artists.

APOB (pronounced A.P.O.B) is an electronic music project of Ian R Hamilton, a musician and artist working in Melbourne, Australia.
Ian, along with Australian electronic musician Tim Koch, founded electronic music label Surgery Records in 2001, releasing 11 albums including the cult international compilation "Initial Release" before closing in 2010.
Ian's first album as APOB, "Isolation Breaks" , started during Melbournes marathon COVID lockdown in 2021. Begun as a series of lofi experiments, they evolved into "pop" songs using field recordings, vocal samples, session singers found online, his children’s toys, and the delicious Yum Audio LoFi plugins.
